How to Style: Heavy Linen

Our signature Heavy Linen bed covers add character, texture and depth to the bed. These weighty bed covers make the perfect final layer for an effortless bedroom. Available in two sizes, Oversized and Queen/King size, here we explain the difference and share our ideas on how to style these special pieces.

(Left) Our Oversized Heavy Linen bed cover creates a dramatic drape (Right) Our Queen/King size skims the floor for a more minimalist look.

How to style: Queen/King Size

Our standard Queen/King size may be pulled back to show pillows, or can cover the bed entirely. Unlike the oversized version it does not fall to the floor, achieving a more minimalist or layered look.

Given its size, a Queen/King size Heavy Linen bed cover also tucks neatly under the mattress for a refined finish.

In place of a throw, our Queen/King size may be artfully draped at the end of the bed.

Our Queen/King size gives you the option to cover the pillowslips or fold back to reveal them. It is also the perfect size to drape across the bed.

How to style: Oversized

Our Oversized Heavy Linen bed covers generously drape over a King or Queen bed. They are designed with the option to cover pillowslips and will elegantly gather on the floor.

A seam detail frames our Oversized bed cover. Both sizes feature an organic raw edge and are available in a neutral palette of natural & creamy white.

To add additional contrast to the bed, layer with our Heavy Linen cushion covers in rectangle and bolster shapes.

Our Oversized bed covers feature a framing seam detail, and a substantial drape.

Not all bed covers were created equal

Grown, spun, woven and made in Europe from 100% certified European Flax, our 350 GSM Heavy Linen range holds the coveted Masters of Linen certification.

Not all bed covers were created equal. Those labelled as ‘European’ or ‘French’ linen doesn’t always mean they were made there, simply that the flax was grown there. Our bed covers are made entirely in Europe.

They hold a fabrication weight of 350 GSM which is 20-30 GSM heavier than other heavy linen bed covers on the market. A heavier GSM means your bed cover will not only last longer, but the weightier fabric will result in greater depth and a more beautiful texture, given the higher quality. Inferior versions can appear dull and flat.

All IN BED products are B Corp certified and are entirely traceable. They carry OEKO-TEX® or STANDARD100 certifications which means they have been tested for harmful substances and are completely toxin free.
