Inclusivity

We believe firmly in the importance and value of being diverse and inclusive in every facet of our business. We have committed to building on a series of initiatives and measures that will ensure we are being actively and consistently inclusive at every level.

We support and don't discriminate against minority groups, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion or ability.

Below is a list of actions we are holding ourselves accountable to, to ensure that we are advocating for Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC) both in front of and behind the scenes.

Work toward 50% of all IN BED content to be created by BIPOC

This includes all of our Journal content (At Home features, Eat IN BED recipes, book and film reviews), models used in our campaigns and behind the scenes freelancers and contractors such as photographers, writers and stylists.

We ‘Pay The Rent’ and have set up an ongoing monthly donation to support First Nations people.

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and run our business. IN BED operates on land that was taken from the Gadigal people and have committed to ‘paying the rent’ each month by setting up a monthly recurring donation to paytherent.net.au

As a business we are committed to learning more about the land we live and work on

We encourage our team to be actively involved in the support of marginalised communities both in Australia and overseas. All of our permanent team members are required to complete a cultural competency course to ensure they have the tools they need to better understand their part in creating an inclusive and culturally sensitive work environment.

Hiring

Although we are a small business we are committed to ensuring that we are hiring in a diverse and inclusive way and are currently exploring opportunities to mentor & provide work experience for BIPOC students & businesses.
